FIRE PROTECTION SPECIALIST

Are you an engineer or consultant serious about pursuing a career in the interesting and exciting field of Fire Protection specializing in fire alarm engineering?  We are seeking to add energetic members to our team.  If you feel you would enjoy the challenge of working on a variety of projects ranging from hospitals to education campuses, both local and national, keep reading!
 
You would be a great addition to our team if you:                                    

• Are on a path to be a licensed Fire Protection Engineer, OR have a degree in Fire Protection, Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering;
• Are well-versed in programs like AutoCAD;
• Are profession oriented with a desire to be technically proficient and serious about on-going development of your professional and technical skills;
• Consider yourself a problem solver;
• Have skills in the design and review of fire alarm and emergency communication systems or a strong desire to learn;
• Understand the role of the engineer in reviewing construction documents;
• Enjoy a close-knit office environment;
• Are organized and have great time management skills;
• Consider yourself a life-learner and see value in remaining actively involved in organizations like NFPA and SFPE;
• Have a knack with codes and regulations (and are eager to study and learn Codes and Standards). 
  • Experience with NFPA 72, National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code is beneficial;
• Would enjoy the challenge in helping nurture a growing fire protection engineering team;
• NICET Certification in Fire Alarm Systems is a plus.
